How To Draw A Fighter Pilot
How to Draw a Jet

Highway to the danger zone! In this drawing tutorial, we'll learn how to draw a jet. This is a military jet used for combat and scouting. This is a great tutorial for beginners.
Did you know?
- Most fighter jets are single seated and powered by one or two engines
- Jet‐propelled aircraft are capable of carrying a radar electronics and combat weapons
- Today, jets can reach speeds of Mach 2, which is faster than the speed of sound
- The first fighter planes appeared during World War I
Level: beginner
Tutorial steps: 6
Step 1
First, draw the main tube that forms the basis of the body. It's flat on one end and come to a point for the nose on the other.
Step 2
Using the tube guide shape, draw the rear wing and main body wing. Then draw a hump at the top which will be the cockpit for the pilot. See image.
Step 3
Now let's add the tail fin, then the main body wing on the other side. Draw in the cockpit with a line down the middle to show the two sections. Now add a curved line at the front to form the nose section with a line pointing out from the nose. Finally add the body wing flap on the front edge of the main body wing.
Step 4
It's time to add lines on the tail fin to show the flaps and a three curved lines below the tail fin for the engine section. Draw the rear flap section on the main body wing. Finally, add the exhaust section below the cockpit. See image above for placement.
Step 5
Draw the points that look like thin rockets on each end of the body wings. Then draw the fuel tanks underneath the jet body and wings.
Step 6
That's it, we're complete! Now you can add a pilot inside the cockpit or even add some military paint over the jet. Have fun!
